Lombok - Indonesia

After all these year, this island become my favorite place. Island which is located near Bali unfortunately not as famous as it's neighbour. But on the other hand it is an added value. You will see a peaceful place with a beautiful scenery.

You can reach the island from Jakarta by plane (IDR.700,000) or from Bali by plane (IDR.250,000) or by big ferry (IDR.100,000).

The island a little quite. Along the way driving up and down the hills. Very nice view. Mountain on one side and ocean on the other side. You can also see monkeys running on the street. Take city tour services (IDR.180,000/car with driver and tour guide). Ask your hotel.

When night comes, the city become very more quite except at tourist areas. The bars, the clubs, restaurant are fulled with tourist. And opens until pass midnight. To stay, there many hotels around Senggigi and Mataram. The rates are vary. (IDR.50,000 - IDR.400,000 / room)

You only need to stay one day and one night on the main island. You have enough time to explore the city and around.

The next day, hop to three little island on the north-west of main island. There are Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan. It takes only 25 minutes by boat (IDR.25,000). Gili Air is even more quite. Perfect place to spend with your love one. Spending your honeymoon. Looking places to stay? Find them along the beach line. (IDR.50,000 - IDR.150,000)The only activities you can do here are water activities like snorkeling and diving. But enjoying sun bathing is also everyone' favorite. Weed is legal on this island. Teasing you?

The next day hop to next little Gili Meno. See more than hundreds sea turtles on the ocean and see birds on the island. Don't need to stay here. Continue to Gili Trawangan. The biggest Gili. This island is also known as party island. During the day the island looked quite and empty. People wake up late every day. Many dive centres along the beach. You can even do your first dive here (visit www.dreamdivers.com for special rate and discount). When night comes each bar has their own schedule for party. The most happening place for party is Tirnanog, Irish Bar. When you feel very happy and partying with friends, go try the magic mushrooms (IDR.45,000) It's a ticket to heaven. The best mixed drink you can find at teh Rudy's. It's a guarantee.
